John Martin's Irish Pub & Restaurant - Coral Gables, Florida

John Martin's Irish Pub and Restaurant just happens to be across from where I work in Coral Gables. Jarce and I eat there often and we're pretty obsessed with their cheese fries (with potato wedges or shoestring fries) and their chicken strips. All their burgers are 1/2 pound. The Irish Burger ( with Dublin white cheddar cheese and bacon, by the way, according to John, no cheese is made in Ireland) is pretty good. Up until their recent menu revamp I thought their BBQ Burger(with bacon, onion, cheddar cheese and BBQ sauce) was the best thing on their menu but I am now obsessed with their Black and Blue Burger. This guy is covered in some great seasoning and topped off with blue cheese and onion strings. Off the burger topic, try the Breakfast Anytime (eggs, bacon, sausage and cheese sandwich) , Jarce loves it. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is also really good. A few days after John made the comment about Dublin cheese, we happen to run into someone from Ireland. Our topic of conversation went to John Martin's , he told us it was pretty authentic and I asked him about the cheese. John was wrong.

Oh yeah, Two cups, 1 Jarce:

Your supervisor should be put out to pasture! Of course they make cheese and butter and cream in Ireland. What do you think they do with all those emerald green hills and valleys? They gotta put something there. Their goats are the happiest in the world! Who wouldn't be listening to U2 all day, eating delicious green grass wearing wool sweaters and dancing with Michael Flatley to flutes and whistles whilst wearing their cute little clogs! Seriously consider trading him up for someone more astute in the ways of the Emerald Isle.

No cheese made in Ireland?

I spent 18 months in Dublin and they make some of the best dairy products in the world, not to mention have some of the freshest and best-tasting meat in the world.

This is an agricultural country.

Ever hear of Kerry Gold butter? You'll never want Land o Lakes again.

"They don't make cheese in Ireland" Wow! How do you justify having this moron rate food? This is what I've learned today........ anybody can write a blog. No qualifications required. Hopefully John chokes on some Irish Cheddar (made in Miami of course).
