So what makes someone wake up at 8am and drive 220 some miles to Orlando to have a
Whopper? I don't know that I have an answer to that question. I've been reading about the
Whopper Bar since last year when the plans and location were announced for it. Last night I decided it was time to check out the
BK Whopper Bar. After getting to
Citywalk and paying for the preferred parking (this how I do it,
Montell Jordan style).

We park in the King Kong
311 section (he must be a fan) .

And then I realize I paid $17 for preferred parking when I could have paid for Valet and been 5 times closer. Anyway, that's neither here nor there (I've always wanted to throw that line in a review). As we're walking towards
Citywalk I notice that the
Whopper Bar is on the second floor, right above the theater.

The seating and actual space is shared with
Panda Express and
Moe's Southwest Grill. I walk in and look around and feel the need to take in the place.

I check out my options up on the menu board. What you can't tell from the picture is that the menu is 3 Tv screens and there's smoke rising up from the food, pretty cool (maybe I'm easily impressed).

We order 3 Whoppers:
Bourbon Whopper,
3 Cheese Steakhouse XT and
Mushroom & Swiss Steakhouse XT.

The glaze on the
Bourbon Whopper reminds me of
teriyaki sauce.

This
Whopper has the original
Whopper patty and not the new
Steakhouse XT patty. Of the 3, this is my favorite. The
3 Cheese Steakhouse XT was good also and I liked the Peppercorn cheese.

The patty seems to be about twice the thickness of a normal
Whopper. I like it, it tastes like a
Whopper yet it doesn't. The 3rd
Whopper we had was a
Mushroom & Swiss Steakhouse XT, it's not bad.

Now, I'm not saying it's inferior in flavor to the other 2, I just like the flavor combinations of the other 2 better. The lesson I did learn was, I should have used the build your own
Whopper option. I would probably go with Smoked Bacon, Angry Onions, Cheddar Cheese and Bourbon-flavored Sauce. One other thing, there is also a
BK Studios which is located downstairs in front of the
Fossil store.

It has some pre-made t-shirts as well as customizable designs. There is also a website for BK Studios for those of you who can't make it Orlando:
here. If you're in
Citywalk definitely check it out for a different kind of
Whopper experience. Me....I'll wait for the rumored addition of beer before I go again.

Anything with 3 cheeses sounds good to me! I was at Universal a couple months ago...and I didn't even know that was in there.
I made the same mistake with "preferred" parking....what a rip-off!
440 mi to eat at a Burger King, that's above and beyond. you are either a man who is very dedicated to his craft or your just f'ing crazy. i'm happy to see you did it.
