2009 Zagat Fast Food Survey

The Zagat Fast Food Survey is now out. 6, 107 (53% male, 47% female) people voted on best burger, best fries in fast food as well as in full service restaurants. I'll list the best bets pertinent to this site but you can check out the full list at their site.

Fast Food Chains:

Best Burger

1. In-N-Out Burger
2. Wendy's
3. Burger King
4. McDonald's
5. Whataburger

I've never had Whataburger but McDonald's at 4th seems odd considering how popular it is. In-N-Out at 1st is a given.

Best Fries

1. McDonald's
2. Burger King
3. In-N-Out Burger
4. Wendy's
5. Chick-fil-A

McDonald's fries in 1st is right but Burger King in 2nd, I'm not believing.

Best Value Menu

1. McDonald's
2. Wendy's
3. Taco Bell
4. Burger King
5. Arby's

McDonald's at 1st and Wendy's in 2nd seems right.

Full Service Chains:

Best Burger

1. Red Robin
2. Ruby Tuesday
3. Cheesecake Factory
4. Steak 'n Shake
5. Chili's Grill & Bar

I'll take Red Robin in 1st although Cheesecake Factory does make a mean burger.

Best Appetizer

1. Cheesecake Factory
2. P.F. Chang's China Bistro
3. T.G.I. Friday's
4. Applebee's
5. Outback Steakhouse

At one time I may have said Outback but since it's nowhere near as good as it used to be, I'd say Cheesecake Factory is a valid choice.
