Today, McDonald's officially launches the Angus Third Pounders nationwide. These are the 3 Angus Third Pounders that are available:

Deluxe: Made with a third-pound* of 100
percent Angus beef topped with creamy
mayonnaise, yellow mustard, a thick slice
of ripe red tomato, green leaf lettuce,
rings of red onions, sliced dill pickles and
slices of American cheese served on a
toasted bakery-style sesame seed roll.

Bacon & Cheese: Made with a
third-pound* of 100 percent Angus beef
topped with zesty ketchup, yellow
mustard, rings of red onions, sliced dill
pickles, three full slices of bacon and
slices of American cheese served on a
toasted bakery-style sesame seed roll.

Mushroom & Swiss: Made with a
third-pound* of 100 percent Angus beef
topped with creamy mayonnaise, sautéed
mushrooms and slices of Swiss cheese
served on a toasted bakery-style sesame
seed roll.

This is the first new burger launch from McDonald's since the Big N' Tasty back in 2001. Plus these burgers have items that have never been on a McDonald's burger before:

• Rings of red onions
• Full slices of bacon
• Sautéed mushrooms
• Natural Swiss cheese
• Bakery-style sesame seed roll

I tried one of the Angus Third Pounders a few days ago and liked it. Below is review of that event from 06/21/09:

Seems McDonald's has a new Third Pound Angus Burger. This one caught me by surprise. I was innocently going to order Chicken McNuggets (gasp...yes chicken..) when I saw this on the menu. There are 3 of 'um: The Deluxe, The Mushroom & Swiss, and Bacon & Cheese. Although partial to Swiss, I went with Bacon and ordered the Bacon & Cheese combo.I liked it a whole lot and I'll be definitely trying out the Mushroom & Swiss, I'll keep you posted.
