The McDonald's Secret Menu?
7 commentsI guess there's a McDonald's secret menu:
Biscuits and Gravy (during breakfast hours)
This item used to be on the menu but was taken off in the mid 80’s from most McDonald's locations but can still be ordered.
Grilled Cheese
A simple hamburger bun with nothing but melted cheese in the middle. A Sesame seed bun will cost you extra.
Big Mac with Quarter Pounder patties
No cool name but definitely a cool sandwich. Recently, the classic Big Macs have become more and more bun and less and less beef. This burger definitely puts the meat back in the Big Mac. In Alaska, this sandwich is on the menu as a McKinley Mac.
The All-American
A normal sized hamburger with nothing but pickles and ketchup.
The Big MacChicken
A Big Mac with McChicken patties instead of the bun. This will definitely get both your fingers and your blood a little greasy.
The Poor-Man’s Big Mac
Order a double cheeseburger with Mac-sauce and lettuce. Ask for diced onions on the side and lettuce on your burger, both are free at McDonald's. For only a dollar all you miss out on is the Big Mac’s sesame seed bun.
Just ask the cashier for a side of Mac-sauce. It is delicious for dipping fries. Some even enjoy dipping their McNuggets.
Update 07/31/09: From McDonald's USA “We love to hear from our customers, especially when they create their own personal meal combinations – no matter how unique! While these particular creations aren’t something we officially offer on our menu, our customers often choose to customize their order and try something new.”

...
There is a McGangbang consisting of a McChicken inside a double cheeseburger.
it's not bad and is really cheap from the dollar menu.

I saw a picture of it somewhere 2 days ago. Let me look around for it so I can post it.

I'm sure some stores still have biscuits and gravy, but most don't have it available. It's been gone for about 6 or 7 years in our area.
Extra condiment charges will vary from location to location, basically it's up to the operator if they want to charge for lettuce and mac sauce.
We don't really have a secret menu at our location, but if I have a way to ring it up and charge for it I'll probably do it (a Big Mac with quarter meat will be the price of a double quarter)

Most McDonald's, at least around here, charge for Big Mac sauce and lettuce. Nothing horrible (20¢ for Mac sauce and 10¢ for lettuce), and still cheaper than getting the Big Mac, but we still get complaints about it.

I've ordered the Poor Man's Big Mac before (I call it the MacDouble). The first time, they charged 30 cents for shredded lettuce, but nothing for the Mac sauce. Today, a different restaurant charged 30 cents for shredded lettuce, and 50 cents for Mac sauce! It's still cheaper than a Big Mac, but come on! I wonder if they would charge for the Mac sauce if I went up and just asked for a side of it. I worked at McDonald's a long time ago, and we never charged for shredded lettuce or Mac sauce. Oh, and the onions that come on a real Big Mac are the same reconstituted ones they put on all of their small burgers (the ones using the 1/10 lb. patties). They do not use the same (real) onions as on the quarter pounders.
