Whataburger - Corpus Christi, Texas

Double Whataburger w/ cheese and ketchup on Texas Toast in Corpus Christi, Texas. Really good cooked to order burger. As far as taste I would compare it to a Five Guys burger but I think I liked Whataburger better becuase of the Texas Toast.

The fries were frozen but also cooked to order so the were nice and hot. The fries are very similar to the ones you would get at most Cuban restaurants in Miami. After you order you're given a number and your food is brought out to you. The person who brings your order out to you also comes with tray of salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard and mayo for you to take whatever condiments you need. As far as fast food goes I would put Whataburger above the big 3. My previous experience at Whataburger (15 yrs ago in Tallahassee) was not nearly as good. Having opened here in Corpus in 1950 Whataburger seems like a source for local pride. Sorry I don't have any pics but I thought about after I was half way done.
